Association for Hair Removal Professionals in Connecticut
The Connecticut State Electrology Association (CSEA) is the state affiliate of the American Electrology Association (AEA), upholding the highest standards in the field of permanent hair removal. Established in 1948, CSEA is committed to promoting superior education, stringent sanitation practices, ethical conduct, and adherence to regulations, all in service of safeguarding the public's well-being.

Membership in the Connecticut State Electrology Association and the American Electrology Association is open to electrologists who have met the following requirements:
Possession of a high school diploma or GED equivalent is mandatory for membership eligibility.
Completion of an electrologist training program at a recognized school is required. The training should encompass a minimum of 600 hrs; Examination: IBEC; 1.0 CEUs for annual license renewal, covering both theoretical knowledge and hands-on practice.
Members of Connecticut State Electrology Association are required to acknowledge and adhere to the Electrologist Code of Ethics set forth by the American Electrology Association (AEA). They are also required to commit to maintaining the Standards of Practice and Infection Prevention standards specific to electrologists.
Electrolysis hair removal is regulated in the state of Connecticut by the Connecticut Department of Public Health Board of Examiners Of Electrologists
